The Kunstverein in Hamburg is pleased to present the first institutional solo exhibition by the British artist Hannah Perry (*1984 in Chester, lives and works in London) in Germany. The exhibition in Hamburg shows a current series of works in which Perry negotiates the effects of trauma with newly produced hydraulic sculpture evokes moments of violence, tenderness and intimacy through a mechanised dance with itself. Perry's exhibition in Hamburg deals with the feeling of dissolving in moments of shock. Through the use of sculpture, sound and video, she creates intimate situations and environments in which the audience is confronted with different phases and strategies of coping with grief.
